    • A look at GM's new iron block 6.6 liter Gen V V8 - L8T

      If you were wondering how much displacement GM has to play with in their Gen V V8 blocks, the answer is plenty. They created a new L8T V8 with the same bore as the 6.2 liter LT motors but with a stroke increase of 98mm.


      103.25 mm x 98 mm stroke with eight cylinder equals 6564 cc or 6.6 liters.

      The cast iron block is key here as no doubt you are thinking what I am thinking. Easy block swap for high power Camaros, Corvettes, CTV-S, etc.

      This engine seems to be an answer to Ford's new 7.3 liter V8 and will only see truck applications in the Silverado HD and Sierra HD.

      That is fine but you know the L8T iron block is going to get a look from tuners.
